Free Progress Academy offer free education to helpless child

Imphal, December 12 2020: A school dropout kid, who wishes to continue his study but couldn't due to financial crisis after his father remain bed ridden after having kidney problem has been provided free education till class X by the authority of Free Progress Academy, Konthoujam.

Principal of the Free Progress Academy, L Indrakumar along with his staff today visited the residence of Kathellakpam Amuchou, who has been suffering a serious illness at Khaidem Mayai leikai under Patsoi Police Station.

Amuchou live with his son after his wife expired and had been bearing all expenditure for his son's study until he went bedridden due to Kidney problem.

His son Sanathoi @ Thoithoiba have to stop study as his father, a daily wage earner, could not work and earn.

Besides, Thoithoiba had to look after his father.

Principal of the Free Progress Academy, L Indrakumar, after seeing the condition assured free education for Thoithoiba at his school and said that a sum of Rs 500 will be provided as scholarship so that he can buy medicine for his father.

"It is up to him whether he stays at the school campus or with his father, but the school will bear all expenditure for him to complete his class 10", L Indrakumar said.

He further said that Free Progress Academy has been providing free education to many disabled children and those who cannot afford school fee.

Thoithoiba wish to become a police officer.
