Four men injured, two fighting for life after being stabbed, in Shepparton brawl
Four men have been injured, with two fighting for life after being stabbed, in a brawl in Victoria's north overnight.
Police have been told a fight broke out between four men at about 11.15pm in Shepparton on Saturday night, near the intersection of Middlesex Crescent and Yorkshire crescent.
They allege that one man stabbed two others with an "edged weapon".
A 20-year-old man and a 35-year-old man, both from Shepparton, were airlifted to the Alfred hospital with life-threatening injuries.
One other man, a 32-year-old also from Shepparton, was taken to Goulburn Valley hospital with a minor upper-body injury.
Police found and arrested a 38-year-old Shepparton man near the scene. He was taken to Goulburn Valley hospital with a non-life-threatening injury where he remains under police guard until he can be interviewed by police.
Local detectives are still investigating how and why the fight broke out, and are calling for any witnesses or people with information to come forward.
