One dead after motorcycle hits BJP MLA's car in Thane

The accident took place at Vahul village situated on Rayta-Ambernath road in Thane district.
KALYAN: One person driving a motorcycle died while his pillion rider woman got seriously injured after their motorcycle hit BJP MLA Kishan Kathore's car in Thane on Sunday evening.
In the mishap, Kathore's car was badly damaged while he was unhurt.
The accident took place at Vahul village situated on Rayta-Ambernath road in Thane district.
The police said Kathore, MLA from Murbad constituency, who had went to attend a function in Titwala was returning to Badlapur when a motorcycle coming from opposite direction hit his car.
The impact of accident was so huge that the man riding the motorcycle died on spot while the pillion rider woman suffered serious injuries.
After the accident, locals rushed the injured woman to a private hospital where her treatment was going on.
Raju Vanjari, in-charge of Titwala police said, "We are yet to register a case as our team is still recording statements to find out whose negligence led to the accident."
Meanwhile, after the accident, Kathore in a video message said, "I am completely safe and there is no need to panic. In the accident, my car was badly damaged after being hit by a speeding motorcycle."
