Chennai: The deceased Sathish (29) of Mangalapuram who stepped out on Thursday evening did not return home and based on his mother’s complaint on Friday, Ambattur Industrial Estate police station registered a case and launched a search. Since there were bloodstains in the place where he was last found consuming liquor behind the ITI campus in Ambattur, police searched for him in the nearby pond with the help of Fire and Rescue personnel on Friday. However, they were able to fish his body out only on Saturday morning and it was sent to Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for postmortem. A murder case has been registered and a launch has been launched for his friends who were consuming liquor with him.
