Nemcha dines advent Christmas feast with widows at Kpi

Kangpokpi, December 12 2020: Kangpokpi AC MLA Nemcha Kipgen had a cheerful times with widows of her constituency and later dined together with them the Advent Christmas feast at Shalom Prayer and Healing Centre, Kangpokpi DHQs.

The MLA also presented a blanket and a Thadou Holy Bible each to the widows as Christmas gift while presenting a traditional shawl to Rev Thangsat Kipgen and his wife Chinneilhing Kipgen as a token of appreciation and motivation in their efforts towards wellbeing of the widows and others.

The advent Christmas celebration was organized by Shalom Prayer and Healing Centre, Kangpokpi under the theme 'Christmas is a time to love and give' at its campus.

Earlier in the morning session, Shalom Gate was inaugurated and dedicated by Rev Fr Janggin Chongloi, secretary, Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship and a reception house was dedicated by Rev Thangsat Kipgen, Shalom Prayer and Healing Centre, Kangpokpi while Shalom office cum waiting room was dedicated by Rev Seilun Sitlhou, general secretary, Christian Revival Church.

Widows in Kangpokpi AC especially from Kangpokpi DHQs offered fasting prayer at Shalom Prayer and Healing Centre established by Rev Thangsat Kipgen and his wife Chinneilhing for peace and harmony, for the welfare of orphan children, drug users/addict, for the wellbeing of the local MLA, MDCs, District Administration, police, CSOs leaders, etc and development of the district as well.

Speaking at the occasion, Kangpokpi AC MLA Nemcha Kipgen said that the prayer of the widows is the strength and blessing to all leaders and the people of Kangpokpi.

Adding that she was deeply delighted to have such strong and exemplary mothers (widows) in her Constituency, she said that she always wanted to have a cheerful moment with the mothers as she felt blessed and peaceful with their prayers and concern.

She said that it was great having good time together with the widows today and expressed gratitude to them for their fasting prayer and love.

The local ML A further said that their dedication and strong will were truly motivating and appealed to all to continue the good work.

She also wished all the widows of the Kangpokpi AC in particular and the people of Kangpokpi as a whole a blessed Christmas in advance.

Kangpokpi Town Committee member, Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship leaders, Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization leaders and other local bodies and Church leaders also attended the programme.

Rev Thangsat Kipgen speech on the theme, 'Christmas is a time to love and give' and singing of Christmas hymns and dancing marked the occasion.
