Minister O Henry flags off Cycling and Walking event

Imphal, December 12 2020: A cycling and walking rally was jointly organised today by Department of MAHUD; Imphal Smart City Limited (ISCL); Place Making Foundation and Manipur Adventure and Mountain Biking Association (MAAMA) on the theme 'Fit India Campaign: The Walking and Cycling Rally'.

The event was flagged off by MAHUD Minister Okram Henry from Kangla Western gate and participated in the walking rally and gave awareness to the people.

O Henry said on the sideline of the event that the 'Cycling and Walking' rally was organised with the view to present to the people of Manipur route for cycling and walking to stay fit.

The Cycling route started from Kangla Western gate and ended at City Convention centre after passing through Thangmeiband, Chingmeirong, Lamlong Bazar, Kongba, Singjamei, Chingamakhong, Yaiskul and crossed Sanjenthong Bridge to the final end point at City Convention Centre.

The Walking route started from Kangla Western gate, passed through Governor Junction, Konung Mamang Junction, Andro Parking, Mahabali Road, Haokip veng Road and ended at City Convention Centre.
