Lalu Yadav's kidney 'not' functioning well: RIMS doctor

Ranchi, Dec 12 (UNI) Doctors at RIMS Ranchi said on Saturday that jailed RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav's kidneys were not functioning well and his condition was deteriorating.
Yadav is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Dr Umesh Prasad who is looking after him said on Saturday that no improvement has been noted in the functioning of his kidney and his condition is declining day by day.

He said that he has informed all the concerned departments and officials in this regard. Dr Umesh Prasad said that earlier his kidney was functioning at 35 percent which has now come down to 25 percent and has reached the fourth Stage.

Dr Umesh said that Mr Yadav can be put on dialysis anytime now. When the RJD supremo was admitted at RIMS his kidneys were functioning at the level of the third stage and after two years under the care of the doctors at RIMS it was getting better.

On the other hand two days earlier the CBI has filed an appeal in the High Court in which it has demanded that Lalu Yadav be sent back to Birsa Munda Central Jail as his condition was alright and his treatment can be done in the jail itself.
