Major fire at chemical factory in Hyderabad, several injured

The initial reports suggested that some workers were trapped inside the factory.

HYDERABAD: At least 10 workers have been injured in a major fire accident that took place in Vindhya Organics, a chemical factory, located at Bollaram industrial area of Hyderabad on Saturday. 

The locals have rushed the injured persons to the nearby hospital.

The initial reports suggested that some workers were trapped inside the factory. The fire department officials are pressed in to control the situation and rescue the workers. 

Three fire tenders from Kukatpally, Patancheru, and Miyapur were rushed to the spot. 
The fire department officials said that they had received a fire distress call at around 1:30 pm. 

According to sources, the fire was due to blasts. As the debris, including the roofing sheets, were flung into the air, it created panic in the vicinity.
