Temperature dropped few notches in some parts of the national capital Delhi and neighbouring areas on Saturday as city woke up to a cloudy sky, fog, and light rain at many places.
Delhi received the light rains under the influence of a fresh western disturbance passing over the Himalayas.
An IMD official has said that the mercury is expected to drop by two to three notches by Monday with the wind direction changing to northwesterly.
The minimum temperature could drop as low as 11 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). It also said Delhi could witness the maximum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius.
According to IMD, light intensity rainfall is expected to occur over South Delhi, South-west Delhi, Dwarka, IGI Airport, Chandpur, Bijnor, Nazibabad and Saharanpur during the next two hours.
