Goa records 70 new COVID-19 cases

Goa, on Saturday, recorded 70 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of active cases to 1,111.

Around 144 COVID-19 patients recovered from the disease on Saturday.

With these new cases and recoveries, the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 49,305, of which 47,489 patients have defeated the deadly virus.

Till date, 705 patients have succumbed to the virus in the state including two new deaths registered in the last 24 hours.

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdiction of urban health centres are as follows: Margao – 118 cases, Vasco – 51 cases, Panaji – 46 cases  and Mapusa – 38 cases.

While, the active positive cases in the jurisdiction of community health centres stand as follows: Sankhali – 29 cases, Bicholim – 20 cases, Pernem – 14 cases, Valpoi – 23 cases, Curchorem – 48 cases and Canacona – 36 cases.

And, the active positive cases in the jurisdiction of primary health centres are as follows: Aldona – 36 cases, Betki – 23 cases, Candolim – 65 cases, Cansarvanem – 11 cases, Colvale – 13 cases, Corlim – 20 cases, Chimbel – 28 cases, Siolim – 37 cases, Porvorim – 89 cases, Mayem – 3 cases,  Balli – 32 cases, Cansaulim – 40 cases, Chinchinim – 26 cases, Cortalim – 52 cases, Curtorim – 12 cases, Loutolim – 33 cases, Marcaim – 8 cases, Quepem – 52 cases, Sanguem – 5 cases, Shiroda -15 cases, Dharbandora – 24 cases, Ponda – 42 cases and Navelim – 10 cases.
