AR provides medical aid

Imphal, December 11 2020: Assam Rifles has provided medical aid to five accident victims who met a road accident at Leishi Village on December 9 .

A press release issued by IGAR (South) said that three women and two men were injured in the accident.

The injured pers were brought by the villagers to the Assam Rifles hospital at Shangshak and were promptly provided with first aid following all the COVID-19 related protocols, it added.

All the injured persons were in the age group of 25-30 years.

On the other hand, troops of Assam Rifles, on December 10 last, provided medical aid to Pung Thang, a resident of Sinzawl village in Pherzawl district who got injured while cutting bamboo in a forest.

Due to the absence of a medical facility in the village, the individual approached the nearby Assam Rifles post at Sinjol, and was given first aid to prevent further bleeding, it said and added that all COVID protocols were followed while treating the individual.
