Letter: Sen. Mike Lee answers to us

(Ross D. Franklin | AP file photo) Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, engages the crowd prior to President Donald Trump arriving for a campaign rally at Phoenix Goodyear Airport Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020, in Goodyear, Ariz.

I believe that Sen. Mike Lee has no clue who he works for and has an agenda that rattles around in his empty head. First, he’s employed by me, a Utah voter and taxpayer. He can refer to me as Mr. Boss, or just Boss. Second, as his employer, I don’t give him permission to pursue a personal agenda, like worrying about Facebook and Twitter’s politics.

His job, as I have clearly conveyed to him, is to first support the national efforts to convey the CDC’s and Coronavirus Task Force messages to mask, social distance and reduce gatherings to reduce the spread of this dreadful pandemic. Second, he is to support a clear path to passing a relief package for every hard-working American who has to do what Lee only thinks he does every day: Go to work and support a family.
