Around 60% of Australians are mobile-only for voice calls at home - study

Australian customers are shifting from fixed to mobile communications. During the 12 months to June 2020, around 60 percent of Australians were mobile-only for voice calls at home (with a mobile phone but no landline). This has doubled from 29 percent in 2015, according to a report from Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). However, the report also shows that users are less likely to rely solely on a mobile service for their home internet connection, with only 16 percent of Australians accessing the internet at home via a mobile network.
