Bolpur, Dec 11 (UNI) A suspected JMB operative, said to be active in hate campaign and propaganda in parts of West Bengal and across the borders with Bangladesh, has been arrested by a special task force in Birbhum district, official sources said on Friday.

The Special Task Force of Kolkata Police had laid a trap to tap the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) operative and successfully arrested the the suspect on Thursday.

The sources, however, did not disclose details of the arrested accused, saying further investigation and interrogation was on to find more details of the underground operatives active in parts of West Bengal's border districts.

Several incriminating documents have been seized from the suspect, who has been brought to Kolkata for further proceedings.

Before the latest arrest of the alien terror activist, the task force had arrested Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen (Bangladesh) operative Sk Rezaul, alias Kiran, in June from industrial Dankuni in the Hooghly district in June's first week.

Kiran, a resident of Illambazar in Birbhum, was picked up from the Dankuni area of Hooghly, police station.

Kiran was a close associate of JMB overall commander (Ameer) Salauddin Salahein.
