Immigration agent booked
Chandigarh: The UT police have booked an immigration consultant for cheating a Punjab resident. According to the police, complainant Jaswinder Kumar of Jalandhar alleged that Zoya Khan, manager, Fast Immigration Consultant, Sector 34, cheated him of Rs45,000 on the pretext of providing work visa for Singapore. A case under Section 420 of the IPC and Section 24 of the Immigration Act has been registered. TNS
Youngsters Club register win
Chandigarh: A fine performance by Harnoor Singh Nanda (4/18) helped Youngsters Cricket Club (YCC) defeated TBK Cricket Academy by 77 runs in the ongoing GVCA 40-40 Cricket Cup on Thursday. Batting first, YCC posted 192/9 in 40 overs with the help of Harshit Suri (84) and Harnoor Singh (21). Japjot Singh claimed a five-wicket haul for 43 runs. In reply, TBK lads were bowled out for 115 runs in 35 overs. Harnoor claimed four wickets, while Yuvraj Dhawan took three for the bowling side.
