Neelam Kothari Soni surprised everyone when she decided to get her facial filler done on camera on her Netflix show, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. She has openly admitted to getting fillers to look younger and said that people often lie about it and hide it. She further said that her attempt with help other women who undergo cosmetic surgeries. "I have no problem saying I am 50. I know that other women out there have had conversations with friends. Everyone is going through this ageing process. Whether in their minds or they are discussing it with their friends, they all want to look good and they don’t know what to do. So I told the creative team that I, myself, am going through this. I want to get something done but I am scared. I said I want to get a filler done. Very little, obviously. I asked if they wanted to capture it and they jumped at it,” Neelam told Bollywood Hungama in an interview. She further added, “I just feel that why not? People lie about it and they hide it and say, ‘Oh, I don’t do anything,’ which is their prerogative. But I feel there is nothing wrong with going out there and being honest about it. Why not? I just feel it is going to help other women.”
Earlier, Neelam had revealed that at one point of time, there were chatters that she was still in her closet.
"I was actually gay (laughs). When I heard about this, I was like, ‘Okay, I guess this is how rumours start, out of nowhere.’ This came back to me. It wasn’t written about but it was just via someone that I got to hear about it,” Neelam Kothari Soni told Mashable India in an interview.
The web series chronicles the lives of popular star wives such as Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Seema Khan and Bhavana Pandey. It is backed by Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment, the digital arm of Dharma Productions.
While Maheep Kapoor is the wife of actor Sanjay Kapoor, Seema Khan is married to Sohail Khan, Bhavana Pandey is the wife of Chunky Pandey and Neelam Kothari is married to Samir Soni.
