MP CM’s action against drug mafia

Bhopal, Dec 10 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday directed formation of special teams to combat the narcotics challenge, it was officially learnt.
During a meeting with Director General of Police Vivek Johri at Mantralaya, the senior politician averred that he obtained inputs through sources including media.

“Awareness should be raised among pupils regarding the deleterious effects of drug abuse and I must be regularly updated vis-à-vis progress of the related campaign,” the veteran leader instructed.

Bhopal, Dec 10 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan cautioned on Thursday that though the novel coronavirus situation is very much under control; precautionary measures should not be placed on the backburner as approximately 1,000 fresh cases are still being detected daily in the state.
“It is in the interest of all citizens to avoid crowds and utilise masks. Health Department functionaries must continue to exercise alertness,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying while chairing a review meeting at Mantralaya.

Bhopal, Dec 10 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed grief on Thursday over the death of a youth who was fatally beaten in Chhatarpur District, official sources said.
The victim Devraj was the son of Kisanpura village’s Kallu Anuragi.

War against COVID-19: MP’s body count rises to 3,373

Bhopal, Dec 10 (UNI) The fatality figure owing to the ‘millennium scourge’ mounted to 3,373 on Thursday in Madhya Pradesh where seven fresh demises were reported even as the infected tally touched 2,19,893 with 1,319 more sufferers being detected during analysis of 31,720 specimens.
A Health Services Directorate bulletin issued tonight pegged the active cases at 13,226. Indore District continued to have the dubious distinction of spawning the highest 456 new instances, Bhopal 296, Gwalior 78, Ratlam 48, Jabalpur 45, Rewa 24, Shivpuri and Balaghat 20 each, Dhar 18, etc. No fresh patient came to light in Burhanpur. The silver lining is that 2,03,294 individuals recuperated; 1,307 of them on this very day.
