nCov:Hoshiarpur dist deals with 24 new cases,1 death

Hoshiarpur, Dec 1 (UNI) Hoshiarpur district reported 24 fresh Covid-19 cases and one death
in last 24 hours, taking the total infection count to 7301 and death toll to 277.
In a health bulletin issued here Friday evening, senior doctor stated that out of the total reported cases 6830 patients had been cured and discharged and 194 active cases were undergoing treatment in Covid Care Centres in the district.
An elderly of village Chak Narial succumbed to coronavirus in the past 24 hours.
The Health Department Friday received reports of 1536 samples of which eight people of local Hoshiarpur and the remaining 16 were from other health centres of the district who were reported coronavirus positive. Samples of 1705 persons having symptoms of flu had been taken Friday.
The total samples of suspected coronavirus patients taken by the Health Department in the district are 211012 of which 202420 were found negative till date. Reports of 2731 samples are still awaited. 149 samples were found invalid.
