Key domestic indices today logged modest gains amid mixed global cues. The BSE Sensex Regained 46,000 mark while the NSE Nifty reclaimed 13,500 level.
Sensex gained 139 points or 0.3 per cent to settle at 46,099. The NSE Nifty-50 index also added 36 points or 0.26 per cent to settle at 13,514.
The broader market at BSE also gained. The BSE Mid-Cap index rose 0.15 per cent while the BSE Small-Cap index ended 0.51 per cent up.
In the forex market, the rupee appreciated marginally by two paise and settled at Rs 73.65 against the US dollar.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, gold was trading little up at Rs 49,118 per 10 gram. Divergently, silver prices were low at Rs 63,304 per kilogram.
In intra-day trade, Brent crude prices were trading around USD 50 per barrel while WTI crude prices were around USD 46.70 per barrel.
