Norwegian company Crayon said it has agreed to purchase Icelandic IT services provider Sensa from Siminn in a transaction worth ISK 3.25 billion. Crayon said this will strengthen its ability to supply digital modernisation services for all customers and partners, as it expands its capabilities in the global market. Sensa provides hosting, cloud management and operations services as well as Unified Communications and security products to businesses.
Crayon Group CEO Torgrim Takle said the acquisition will support Crayon in expanding the value chain into managed services for multi-cloud environments, and will accelerate Crayon’s global service operations.
Sensa has about 120 employees and is based in Reykjavik, Like Crayon, Sensa holds certifications from technology vendors including Microsoft, Amazon Web Services and VMWare. This allows it to design and support tailored, flexible and scalable services on dedicated, hybrid, and pure public cloud platforms.
The agreement is subject to approval by the Icelandic Competition Authority.
