SAD appoints 12 GS, DPs

Chandigarh, Dec 11 (UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal on Friday announced the appointment of 12 General Secretaries of the party and district presidents of the party units.



According to a statement released by the party head office here, SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal appointed senior party leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia, Sohan Singh Thandal, Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu, Harmeet Singh Sandhu, Pawan Kumar Teenu, Harish Rai Dhanda, Gaganjeet Singh Barnala, Manpreet Singh Ayali, Harpreet Singh Kotbhai, Saroop Chand Singla, Lakhbir Singh Lodhinangal and Santa Singh Umaidpuri as General Secretaries of the party.



Gurpal Singh Grewal has been appointed the District President of Fazilka (rural), Raghbir Singh Saharmajra of Police district Khanna, Gurinder Singh Gogi of district Ropar, Ranjit Singh Dhillon of Ludhiana (urban), Davinder Singh Dhaipai of Kapurthala (rural) and Harjit Singh Walia of Kapurthala (urban).

Besides, Jatinder Singh Lali Bajwa was chosen as DP of Hoshiarpur (urban), Balbir Singh Bittu of Gurdaspur (urban), Amit Kumar Shimpi of Sri Mukatsar Sahib (urban), Satish Grover of Faridkot (urban), Shanker Duggal of SBS Nagar (urban) and Rohit Kumar Montu Vohra of Ferozepur (urban).

Surinder Singh Mintu was made DP of Pathankot (urban), Krishan Verma Bobby of Fatehgarh Sahib (urban) and Yadwinder Singh Bittu Diwana has been nominated as President of Barnala (urban) unit of the party.
