GURUGRAM: Temperature is likely to dip in the city over the weekend as IMD has predicted rain in NCR for the next three days.
“Moderately active western disturbance and moisture feeding from Arabian Sea will affect north India from the evening of December 11 to December 13 morning. Light to moderate rain, gusty winds and isolated hailstorm are expected in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and UP,” meteorologist Navdeep Dahiya said.
The city is likely to witness a drop in minimum temperature after December 12, according to the prediction. On Thursday, the maximum temperature was 27.9 degrees Celsius and minimum was 11.4 degrees Celsius.
At 217, the air quality index (AQI) remained in the ‘poor’ category for the second consecutive day on Thursday.
According to Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB), the level of pollutants has witnessed a drop because of wind speed and western disturbances.
Meanwhile, Delhi recorded a maximum of 29 degrees Celsius on Wednesday — the third highest maximum temperature in December in the last 14 years, while the maximum temperature on Thursday was 28.3 degrees Celsius.
