47 associations resolve to take fight to COVID-19

Imphal, December 10 2020: A meeting of different Ima Lups, civil society organisations and student organisations attended by members of forty seven associations was held today at Iboyaima Sumang Lila Shanglen to discuss the present situation and took a firm stand against the rising positivity and mortality rate of COVID-19 in the State.

The meeting was presided by BK Moirangcha, convenor of Peoples Task Force for COVID-19 and took major resolutions.

The resolutions of today's meeting include holding an extensive awareness and publicity campaign with the support of the people in different areas of Manipur and to make the public adhere strictly Covid Task Force units and committees opened in different localities of Manipur under the supervision of Peoples Task Force for COVID-19 will monitor the changing trend of the pandemic, mode of spread and to carve out preventive measures to curb the spread of the virus and to open task force units in the remaining localities.

The meeting further resolved to hold wide scale awareness programs along with the experts to inform about the precautionary measures to be taken for those who are in the containment zone or home isolation and to extend all possible help to the affected families or localities and to organise testing, tracing and treatment programs by the task force units.

Also they will urge the Health Dept, Home Dept and Deputy Commissioners concerned to help them during this venture.

They will pressurise the Government to take stringent measures to check the rising positivity and mortality rate and to analyze accuracy of the daily report published by IDSP.

It was also resolved to urge the State Level Audit Committee to present a correct death audit report at the earliest to the public and to check the real reason behind the deaths whether it is by the negligence of the health officials or because of comorbid health conditions of the patients and to present a report regarding the same by the Government and Health Department.
