Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 86.20 points up at 13564.50 on Friday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Archidply Decor; Biofil Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals; Colgate Palmolive; Greenpanel Industries; Jet Airways; Jubilant Industries; Nestle India; TVS Electronics; Vardhman Special Steels; Zensar Technologies.
Overall, 37 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 13 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, ONGC, GAIL, NTPC, Indian Oil Corp and Coal India were among top gainers, while Divi's Labs, Adani Ports SEZ, Eicher Motors, Britannia Industries and Shree Cements were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 294.99 points up at 46254.87. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, Miscellaneous, Mining, Gas & Petroleum and Metals - Ferrous sectors, while selling were visible in Electric/Electronics, Agro Processing, Learning & Education, Airlines and Shipping sectors.
