T-Mobile US is launching its first 5G mobile hotspot device. The Inseego 5G MiFi 2000 can connect up to 30 devices over Wi-Fi simultaneously. The operator's new hotspot data plans start at USD 20 per month for 5 GB.
With autopay, the plans rise to USD 30 for 10 GB, USD 40 for 30 GB or USD 50 for 100 GB. T-Mobile said the prices are available for a limited time and offer up to 20x more data than Verizon for the same price.
The MiFi device is available for 50 percent off with 24 monthly bill credits when customers add a line, making it USD 168 full retail price or USD 7 per month with the equipment installment program.
