In between the never-ending debate of the existence of nepotism in Bollywood, there is a star kid, who claims to be walking her own path towards the big screen. Pranutan Bahl, daughter of famous actor Mohnish Bahl and granddaughter of the legendary actress Nutan, says she 'always knew she wanted to act' and has stepped into Bollywood with Nitin Kakkar’s ‘Notebook’. In a recent interview, talking about why she hid from everyone about her film family background, the diva said, 'I didn’t want people to shortlist me based on the fact that I come from a film family. I wanted to know for myself if I deserved to be in front of the camera.' In an earlier interview, Pranutan had revealed how she had grown up on film sets, watching his dad Mohnish Bahl work in front of the camera. Pranutan and another debutant Zaheer Iqbal have garnered rave reviews from the critics and audience for their performance in 'Notebook'.
