LUCKNOW: President of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Mahant Nritya Gopal Das was discharged from Lucknow’s Medanta hospital on Wednesday and taken to Ayodhya through a green corridor.
He was admitted to the hospital on November 9 in a critical condition.
Director, Medanta Hospital, Dr Rakesh Kapoor said, “Mahant Nritya Gopal Das was admitted to the ICU with breathing difficulty due to pulmonary embolism (blockage in pulmonary arteries). A surgery was performed to remove blood clots from his lungs after which he was put under the supervision of critical care team.”
The seer had been taken off the life support system a couple of days ago without any crisis.
After the doctors found his health condition satisfactory, the mahant was discharged from the hospital around 2pm on Wednesday.
