Notably, BBL 10 is the first T20 league which will be played in as many as nine venues and spectators will be allowed to witness the action from the stands. While the first half of the competition will be played in Hobart and Canberra, the tournament will eventually move to Launceston, Brisbane, Adelaide, Carrara Oval, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.

Ahead of the BBL 2020, take a look at the seven IPL stars who will play in the tenth edition of the Big Bash League:

Rashid Khan (Adelaide Strikers): Rashid has been one of the sought after bowlers in IPL and the Afghan leggie had a brilliant IPL 2020 where he bagged 20 wickets in 16 matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Overall, Rashid has picked 75 wickets in 62 IPL games at an impressive economy rate of 6.24.

Marcus Stoinis (Melbourne Stars): Marcus Stoinis has been the game-changer for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2020. He bailed the side out of trouble on numerous occasions with his all-round show. The Australian scored 352 runs in 17 games at a strike-rate of 148.52 to go with three fifties in IPL 13. He also bagged 13 wickets in the tournament. Moreover, Stoinis ended up as BBL’s leading run-scorer last year with a record 705 runs to his name in 17 innings at a staggering average of 54.23.

Nicholas Pooran (Melbourne Stars): Pooran, who played for the Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2020, was in scintillating form in the tournament as he scored 353 runs in 14 matches at a blistering strike-rate of 169.71 to go alongside two fifties. He is known for his six-hitting prowess and ended IPL 2020 as fourth highest six-hitter in the tournament with 25 maximums to his name.

Jason Holder (Sydney Sixers): Holder was roped in as Mitchell Marsh in the Sunrisers Hyderabad camp for IPL 2020 and the Windies all-rounder came into the playing eleven for SRH mid-way through the team’s fluctuating journey in the IPL 13 but still made a significant mark on the tournament. In seven matches, Holder picked up 14 wickets at a strike rate of 12. His all-round skills came to the fore in the league match and the Eliminator against RCB with figures of 2 for 27 and 3 for 25 respectively.

Glenn Maxwell (Melbourne Stars): Maxwell was a big flop in IPL 2020 but that doesn’t change the fact that he is still one of the biggest players in T20 cricket – having the ability to hit anywhere in the ground. Overall, Maxwell has played 82 IPL matches in which he has scored 1505 runs at an impressive strike rate of 154.67 and picked 19 wickets. Not to forget, the Australian all-rounder found his mojo back in the recently concluded T20I series against India, where he quickfire runs and even lead his team to victory in the third T20I with fierce half-century.

Imran Tahir (Melbourne Renegades): Imran Tahir warmed the bench for the most part of the IPL 2020, but let’s not forget the fact that he was the purple cap holder in IPL 2019 where he picked 26 wickets in just 17 games. The 41-year-old can still be very lethal in the shortest format and he has a knack of picking up wickets at crucial stages.

Aaron Finch (Melbourne Renegades): Finch, who is a captain of Melbourne Renegades, had a mediocre IPL 2020, however, the right-hander returned to form during the recently concluded ODI and T20I series against India and also ended as the leading run-getter of the ODI series with 249 runs in three games at a stunning average of 83.00.
