Assam Rifles organises interaction programme at Sajik Tampak

Imphal, December 09 2020: Assam Rifles organized an interaction programme with the local village chiefs and civil administrators at Sajik Tampak, yesterday.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation by the members of Kana Valley Village Chiefs.

Association, Kuki Students Organization (KSO), Zou Sangnaupang Pawlpi (ZSP), Pastors of various Churches and village chiefs, said a statement of the IGAR (S) .

The chiefs and representatives from almost 31 villages highlighted their daily challenges and expressed their concern on the lack of development due to geographical isolation of the area and the insurgent activities.

Discussion on alternative crops and organic farming was also carried out.

The KSO representatives requested assistance in organising the Kana Valley sports meet which is planned from January 7 to 22 at Chahkap and Haika village, it added.

The locals also expressed their gratitude towards the Assam Rifles and assured their full support and active participation in all the endeavours of the Assam Rifles for development of the area.
