Sit in protest staged against bomb blast

Imphal, December 09 2020: The locals of Nongmeibung Wangkheirakpam Leikai and family members of Wangkheirakpam Sunitibala staged,a sit in protest today against the hand grenade explosion at the residence of Sunitibala near Kusum Oil Pump last night.

The locals strongly condemned such acts in crowded residential areas and appealed to the concerned to clarify the reasons behind the blast.

It may be mentioned that unknown persons hurled a hand grenade last night which exploded at the courtyard of Wangkheirakpam Sunitibala of Wangkheirakpam Leikai Opposite Kusum Oil Pump last night at around 7.30 pm.

However no one was injured.

A team of Imphal East Commando and Porompat Police team rushed to the spot and inspected the blast site and registered a case regarding last night itself for further investigation of the case.
