NMC to assist medical courses

Nashik, Dec 9 (UNI) The Nashik Municipal Corporation [NMC] decided to provide Rs. 12.5 lakh to the CPC office for 13 postgraduate medical courses at its Bytoc Hospital on Nashik Road.
According to sources said today, this was decided in the general body meeting on Monday. It was decided to discuss whether the courses of Maharashtra University of Health Science could be started at the same place.
The municipal corporation’s Bytco hospital does not have enough medical staff since there is no approval from the government to fill the posts of medical officers, NMC has been making efforts since 2015 that at least trainee doctors will be available from the postgraduate course.
It is now being completed and there are proposals to start 13 CPC courses , radiology and others. After much discussion and scepticism on the cleaning contract of Dadasaheb Gaikwad Hall, the proposal for post-work approval was tabled for the seventh time in a row. When the proposal for post-work sanction of Rs. 56.15 lakh was presented before the general body , corporator Sudhakar Badgujar questioned the extension of the agreement. The administration failed to reply properly. Following this, the proposal was adjourned again.
