LPL 2020 Results, Points Table: Jaffna Stallions was stunned by Kandy Tuskers on Wednesdy night and today it was the turn of Colombo Kings to do the same. Stallions lost their 2nd consecutive game to fall down to number 3 in the points table.

Chasing 173, Stallions could only manage 167

On Thursday, Salman Khan’s family-owned team Kandy Tuskers thrashed Jaffna Stallions by six wickets on Wednesday to take fourth spot in the tally. Chasing a modest target of 151-run, Tuskers rode on Asela Gunaratne unbeaten 52 and Kusal Perera 42 to cross the finishing line in 19.1 overs.

On the other hand, Stallions has now finished their league engagements at number 3 with nine points from 8 league matches.

Notably, Colombo Kings has now moved to number 2 in the LPL 2020 points table with 10 points from 7 games, while Galle Gladiators are lingering at the bottom of the points table with just two points.

LPL 2020 : Dambulla Viking on top of the points table

Dambulla Viiking climbed to the top spot of LPL 2020 points table with their four wickets win against Galle Gladiators on Wednesday. DV now have 11 points from seven games with five wins, one loss and an abandoned game.

LPL 2020: Race to semis

Top three teams Dambulla Viiking, Colombo Kings and Jafna Stallions have already sealed three out of four semi-final spots, while the fight for the last berth is in between 4th and 5th placed teams which are Kandy Tuskers and Galle Gladiators respectively.

Tuskers and Gladiators will take on each other in their respective last league game tody evening. If Kandy Tuskers win the match then they will assure themselves of the semi-final spot with six points, but if Galle Gladiators emerged as winners then they will be tied with Tuskers with four points and the team with better run rate will advance to the knock out stage.

The semi-final 1 and sem-final 2 are scheduled to take place on December 13 and December 14 respectively.
