JSW Steel has announced that JSW Steel Vijayanagar Works, the largest single location steel manufacturing facility of the company, has brought the Covid-19 infection among employees under control with zero new cases in recent times.
JSW Steel Vijayanagar Works is located in Ballari, Karnataka.
Dr Vinod Nowal, Deputy Managing Director of JSW Steel Ltd commended the commitment shown by the Plant Management, Employees and Jindal Sanjeevani Hospital, “We have successfully managed to flatten the Covid-19 infection curve at our plant in Ballari with no new cases reported in the recent past. Bringing the infection under control is an outcome of concerted efforts and commitment of the Leadership Team and every employee at JSW Steel Vijayanagar Works plant during the last few months."
Nowal added, " At the same time, we continue to stay alert as the fight against coronavirus has not ended. JSW Steel will continue to keep a close vigil and follow strict safety guidelines issued by the Government to keep our employees and communities safe.”
On Sensex, JSW Steel finished at Rs362 per piece flat compared to the previous closing. The stock has touched an intraday high of Rs366.20 per piece during trading hours, which was just a couple of rupees away from the 52-week high of Rs376.10 per piece.
