Trinamool's rumblings come to fore amid Nadda's Bengal visit

New Delhi, Dec 10 (UNI) The Trinamool Congress seems now in an "uneasy situation" in the presence of BJP president J P Nadda-likely to "encash" it- in the poll-bound Bengal, with rumblings in Trinamool Congress ranks coming to fore questioning the role of poll strategist Prashant Kishore's team I-PAC in the party.
The 'infighting' in Mamata Banerjee's party came to light on Wednesday, when the BJP chief arrived in Kolkata on a two-day Bengal visit to boost the party ahead of the Assembly elections.
The 'revolt' against the poll strategist by two party MLAs-Vaishali Dalmiya from Bally and Anantadeb Roy from Maynaguri- came days after Trinamool veteran Suvendu Adhikary quit as key minister purportedly over Mr Kishore's growing "influence" in the party and the "dominance" of CM Ms Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee, MP from Diamond Harbour.

Incidentally, after being "left out" of a meeting in Bally, Vaishali accused Mr Kishore's team of driving a wedge in the party while Anantadeb said he had taken his "complaint" to the chief minister.
Sources said, a meeting was held recently in Bally that all 16 former Bally Municipality councillors were asked to attend.
It was being coordinated by I-PAC and Vaishali was not invited for the meeting, the sources said.
According to some political observers, " Two Trinamool MLAs' 'revolt' against the poll strategist may give a new twist to the Suvendu Adhikary 'developments' as the former minister is yet to disclose his 'future course of action.' "
" It is also an opportunity for the BJP workers and leaders, in presence of their party chief in the state, to exploit the situation in its favour," the observers maintained.
Informatively, Mr Nadda yesterday claimed that the party would oust Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress Government in Bengal and come to the saddle in 2021 Assembly elections in the state with more than 200 seats.
Mr Nadda, who inaugurated nine party offices across various districts of Bengal, came down heavily on the Mamata Banerjee Government.
Stating that the Trinamool Congress has turned into a "family party", Mr Nadda said, “Intolerance is growing in Bengal."
After bagging Bihar along with JD(U), the BJP-led NDA is eyeing the next year's Assembly elections in Bengal, where "almost total collapse" of the Congress and the Left is "aiding'' the BJP.
The 294-seat Bengal Assembly is scheduled to go to polls in April-May,2021.
