Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said in a discussion with students on Thursday that the possibilities of taking the JEE Mains examinations up to four times in the year 2021 are being tested. Opinions are being taken from all sides regarding this. It will be informed soon. If this happens, the first exam will be held at the end of February, the remaining three exams will be conducted in March, April, and May. Each time there will be three to four days for these exams. At present, the JEE Mains exam is only held twice a year.
Education Minister said- this is being discussed seriously
On Thursday, Union Minister Nishank was discussing with the students about the dates of competitive exams like JEE-NEET including the board through Twitter and Facebook. During this, the students had suggested to the Union Minister to conduct the JEE Mains examinations more than twice, on which they shared this information. The students also suggested reducing the syllabus of JEE Mains and NEET during this period. On which he said that CBSE has reduced its syllabus by thirty percent in view of the Corona crisis, but there are more academic boards in the country that have not made any changes in their syllabus. In such a situation, it will be discussed with the states.
However, during this time, he definitely indicated to provide an option to the students. Under this, students in JEE Mains will be given a total of 90 questions, but only 75 of them will have to be answered. It will be necessary to do 25 questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects. That is, they will get more questions. At the same time, Nishank said about Neet's examinations that it is being discussed with the Health Ministry. It will also be finalized soon. During the questions related to the examinations, suggestions were also given on the part of the students not to conduct the examinations, but the Union Minister said that there will be examinations. Given the circumstances, time can definitely be extended further.
Referring to last year's exams, he said that JEE and NEET exams can be conducted when Corona is under severe infection. General elections can be held in Bihar, so why can't there be examinations. During this time, he informed me to announce the dates of all examinations soon. On the question related to competitive examinations of other boards including CBSE, the Union Minister said that it is true that this time the practical work has not been done due to the closure of schools, for now, any option will be explored. Now is the time for such board exams. He has said to discuss this with parents and teachers separately soon.
