A few days ago, there were reports that Varun Dhawan and Neetu Kapoor, and Jug Jugg Jeeyo director Raj Mehta, have tested Covid-19 positive. The shoot was eventually temporarily halted. While Varun has announced a couple of days ago that he has contracted the coronavirus, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor has now confirmed that she is Covid positive. Taking it to Instagram, Neetu added that she has self-quarantined and is following all safety measures. "Earlier this week I tested positive for Covid-19. All safety measures are being followed and I am thankful to the authorities for all their help and quick response. I am in self-quarantine, taking medication on my doctor's advice and feeling better. I am so grateful for all your love and support! Please stay safe, wear a mask, keep safe distance. Take care," she wrote. The cast and crew had arrived in Chandigarh in the second week of November. The film's other two lead actors, Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani, have tested negative for the virus. No other person in the unit is known to have tested Covid positive. All cast and crew members were tested for the virus, before shoot started in November. The film also features Maniesh Paul and YouTube sensation Prajakta Koli, who makes her Bollywood debut with the role.
A couple of days ago, Varun had posted on social media that he has contracted the novel coronavirus while shooting for a project. He says his spirits are high and he is taking each day at a time.
"VITAMIN FRIENDS...So as I returned to work in the pandemic era I have contracted covid-19. All precautions were taken by the production but still nothing is certain in life especially not covid-19. So please be extra careful I believe I could have been more careful. I see the get well soon messages and my spirits are high taking each day at a time... thank u," Varun said.
