Festival of Narratives Arts scheduled from Dec 19

Imphal, December 08 2020: Festival of Narrative Arts will be held at Thokchom Iboyaima Sumang Leela Shanglen at Konung Lampak from December 19 for six days.

It will be organised by Manipur State Sumang Leela Council.

Speaking to media persons at a press meet today at Iboyaima Shanglen, Sougrakpam Hemanta, lifetime secretary of the Council said that during the festival, competition will be held for male and female separately for art forms such as Pena Phamshak, Khongjom Parva, Moirang Sai (Moirang Meitei Eshei) and Khunung Esei and there will be cash reward for the winners.

The festival will be inaugurated by Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba on December 19 .

Interested persons may contact the office of the Sumang Leela Council for further information, he added.
