Telenor Denmark said it is giving all its mobile customers embedded SIM cards. It said eSIMs provide customers with greater flexibility when it comes to changing card and means they avoid waiting for a new card to arrive in the post. Cards can be programmed to allow two phone numbers to run on the same phone, such as a work number and a personal number.
The operator said eSIMs are included in all of its mobile subscriptions, but customers need a handset that supports the use of the new kind of card.
