Three minor girls have been reported missing from different parts of the city. The police have registered cases under relevant sections of the IPC but none of the girls have so far been recovered.
Neki Ram, a resident of near JK Kanda, Dehlon Road, Sahnewal, has complained to the police that his 17-year-old daughter was missing from home since the evening of November 30. He suspected that some unknown persons might have abducted her. The police have registered a case under Section 346, IPC.
A 14-year-old girl was reported missing by Satish Kumar of New Sunder Nagar in Mundian Kalan since December 5. In his complaint, the father of the girl said his daughter left home in the afternoon without telling anyone about her whereabouts. He told the police that he suspected the girl had been abducted by someone. A case has been registered.
In another case of a 17-year-old missing girl, the police have booked Mrityunjay Yadav, a resident of Prem Colony under Sections 363 and 366-A of the IPC on the complaint of Rajesh Kumar, father of the victim and a resident of the same colony. Investigating officer in the case Kamaljit Singh from the Meharban police station said police teams were searching for the suspect and the victim.
