Mao Students Union, Senapati has feted Lucy Hriidziia (21) who bagged the fourth runner up title in the recent virtual IAWA Miss India beauty pageant during a simple programme held at Kitchen Garden, Senapati.

She also won IAWA Miss India Shining Star title in the pageant. Lucy Hriidziia represented the beautiful landscape of the blue hill, Mao under Senapati district.

Lucy was born and brought up in a small place called Chowainamei Khunou village in Senapati. Lucy's father passed away 4 years ago. She has three younger siblings.

After 10 days of the virtual grooming session, the grand finale of the beauty contest was held on September 20 .

Later, Lucy was announced as the 4th runner up of IAWA Miss India, 2020, and also bagged the subtitle of IAWA Miss India Shining Star and 3rd runner up of IAWA Quarantine Princess, 2020.Speaking on the occasion, Lucy Hriidziia expressed her gratitude to IAWA team for giving her a golden opportunity to rediscover her strength and bolster her confidence and personality.

She also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Mao Students' Union and all her supporters for believing in her dreams and inspirations. Th Kirankumar, Deputy Commissioner, Senapati said that he was surprised to hear such good news from the district and congratulated Lucy on her landmark achievement.

The DC also asserted that one can represent the district and the State in so many ways while wishing the winner more success in future. Lucy is a student (BSc Nursing 3rd year) of GITAM University in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
