Orange to provide connectivity for Tour de France under new 4-year contract

Tuesday 8 December 2020 | 10:28 CET | News
Orange and the Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) will continue to collaborate for the next four editions of the Tour de France cycling race, extending a long-standing partnership that first started in 1999. The operator will once again bring its expertise in telecom networks and connectivity to the event, which remains one of the most watched sporting competitions in the word. Commenting on the 2021 race, it said that local communities will benefit from permanent 5G installations in areas hosting the Tour de France, in the same way that the 2004 and 2012 editions were marked by the arrival of 3G and 4G respectively.
