Portugal to complete DTT migration on 18 December

Portugal will end the DTT migration process on 18 December, releasing the 700 MHz frequency band so that the 5G frequency auction can take place in January, announced the president of Anacom, Joao Cadete de Matos, reports Lusa. He added that the 5G frequencies will be allocated in 2021, after the end of the auction. According to Matos, the 5G auction regulations are "adequate" and "proportional" and aimed at "overcoming or mitigating some of the disadvantages" to which new players are subject.
