Congress workers take out rally in support of Bharat Bandh

Kakinada, Dec 8 (UNI) Congress workers under the aegis of the city congress committee have taken out a motorbikes rally in the main streets of the city on Tuesday as a part of the Bharat Bandh raising slogans in support of the agitating farmers against the amended agricultural legislations.

The rally after passing through the main streets has converted into a public meeting at the four roads junction near the congress office .

Several congress leaders including PCC general secretary Nurukurty Venkateswerarao, city congress president Akula Venkataramana, city congress vice president Venkatesh Naidu, Official spokesperson Peddada Subbarayudu,Tummalapalli Vasu, Kambham Rajababu who addressed the workers, have denounced the central governments unilateral actions in bringing out new legislations on agriculture detrimental to the farmers interests and demanding withdrawal of the three bills.

Meanwhile the bharat bandh all over East Godavari district was total and peaceful with all public and private offices remaining closed till noon.
