AMBALA: The district on Tuesday reported 40 new Covid-19 cases, taking its coronavirus tally to 10,800, including 452 active cases, civil surgeon Dr Kuldeep Singh said.
Singh said that the district also recorded one coronavirus-related death, pushing the toll in the district to 133 with a mortality rate of 1.22% while the case doubling rate is 175 days.
Singh said Chourmastpur reported 19 cases, followed by Ambala Cantt (10), Ambala City (7) and Barara, Mullana, Naraingarh and Shahzadpur (one each).
As many as 62 patients were discharged during the day, taking the recovery count to 10,215 with a recovery rate of 94.58%, he said.
