Jharkhand: Covid tally reaches 1,10,639 with 182 fresh cases on Tuesday

Ranchi, Dec 8 (UNI) The Coronavirus tally in the state on Tuesday reached to 1,10,639 as 182 cases were detected across 20 districts of Jharkhand.
During the day no deaths were reported from any district as a result of which the overall death count has remained to 988. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.89 percent.
As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 1,753 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 1,07,898. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 988.
On Tuesday a maximum number of 67 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 19 in East Singhbhum, 15 in Dhanbad, 14 each in Deoghar and Bokaro 14 and 7 in Lohardaga (top five districts).
A total of number of 188 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 56 from Ranchi, 34 from East Singhbhum, 19 from Dhanbad, 13 from Bokaro and 11 from Hazaribagh district.
Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 97 percent mark to currently stand at 97.52 percent in Jharkhand.
So far in the state, 44,01,857 samples have been collected out of which 43,82,789 have been tested and 42,72,150 have turned out to be negative.
