The Association of Unaided College Teachers of Punjab joined the ongoing farmers protest at Singhu border. A total of 12 members from different colleges of the state on the board of the AUCT were sent by the association.
Reverberations of the movement can be witnessed in Canada, England, Australia and even elsewhere. Prof Harjit Singh, General Secretary, AUCT, said we have handed over the association’s letter of support to farmer leaders at Singhu border.
Teachers said it is the duty of each and every section of society to extend full support to farmers. “We should feel proud to be a part of such a revolution which is entirely non-political. It is a movement of Punjab, by Punjab and for Punjab. So there is no reason why we should stay behind when the borders of Delhi are resounding with voices of justice and righteousness,” Ghai added.
