Mumbai, Dec 8 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Tuesday remained on top for the third straight session on Tuesday, as the Sensex opened at 45,568.80, at a New peak, up by 142 pts following gains in Materials, Energy, FMCG and Finance stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too moved up by 49.90 pts to 13,405.65.
The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 45,728.85 and 45,459.74 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 13,435.45 and 13,363.15 respectively.
The Mid Cap rose by 0.20 pc and Small Cup by 0.26 pc respectively.
In 30 scrips 18 advanced while 12 declined.
The gainers were Ultracemco by 2.93 pc to Rs 5204, Reliance industries by 2.37 pc to Rs 2004.40, HCL Technologies by 1.82 pc to Rs 870.75, Maruti Suzuki by 1.06 pc 7822.30 and HDFC by 0.97 pc to Rs 2325.60.
The losers were Sun Pharma by 1.80 pc to Rs 571.80, Indusind Bank by 1.36 pc to Rs 922.90, Tech Mahindra by 0.85 pc to Rs 936.70 and Bharti Airtel by 0.77 pc to Rs 505.05.
