Anantapur: Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy will lay the foundation stone for three reservoirs in the drought-prone Anantapur district on Wednesday through virtual mode.
Muttala, Topudurthi and Devarakonda reservoirs will be constructed in Rapthadu constituency and the blue prints are ready for taking the water from Handri-Neeva to Peruru dam. A pylon is also being set up at Venkatapalli in Chennekothapalli mandal on this occasion.
As many as one lakh acres would get water for cultivation in Rapthadu constituency, benefiting 35 villages inseven mandals and in the process Jagan will be fulfilling another pre-election promise of his.
The state government will spend Rs.800 crore for four reservoirs and the main canal.
