UPSC IFS Main Exam 2020 time-table released, exam from Feb 28

NEW DELHI: Union Public Service Commission has released examination dates for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination 2020.
According to the UPSC IFS 2020 exam time-table released on the official website the examination will begin on Sunday, February 28, 2021 with General English and General Knowledge papers.
The UPSC IFS 2020 exam will be conducted in two shifts - forenoon session (9:00 am to 12:00 noon) and afternoon session (02:00 pm to 05:00 pm).
The last paper exam will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021.
UPSC IFS 2020-21 Time-Table
Candidates should note that there will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers. For both writing and marking answers in the OMR sheet [Answer Sheet], candidates must use black ball pen only. Pens with any other colours are prohibited. Do not use Pencil or Ink pen.
The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.
Plan of examination
The Indian Forest Service Examination will consist of two successive stages -
(i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination; and
(ii) Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service.
The candidates who are declared to have qualified Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination will be required to mandatorily indicate order of preferences of Zones/Cadres in the on-line Detailed Application Form-II (DAF-II), before the commencement of Personality Tests (Interviews) of the examination. With this Form, a candidate will also be required to upload documents/certificates for higher education, achievements in different fields, service experience, OBC Annexure (for OBC category only) EWS Annexure (for EWS category only), etc.
