Tobacco products seized

Imphal, December 07 2020: Huge quantities of talab, khaini (chewing tobacco) and Win cigarettes worth around Rs one lakh were seized and burnt today at Pallel Bazar by the Kakching District Task Force.

M Manishwar Khuman convenor of the Kakching District Task Force along with its seven volunteers have been carrying out drives against the use and sale of tobacco products.

A bike rally was carried out in support of this initiative in the district but this has not deterred the use and sale of tobacco products.

The task force conducted a drive at 5 shops at Pallel and seized the products and warned the shopkeepers not to sell such products again and took photos of them.

M Manishwar Khuman stated they will continue to carry out such drives and sought the cooperation of the public in order to prevent the youth from using tobacco products.
